The University of Dundee

Ubiquigent and the University of Dundee have a long standing relationship in the ubiquitin field. Ubiquigent are the University’s exclusive commercialisation partner for all ubiquitin related Research Tools developed by the University.  Access to this vast array of reagents and associated expertise, has helped Ubiquigent establish itself as key partner for those working in the Ubiquigent field.

In addition, as part of Ubiquigent’s strategy to develop targeted compound libraries to support its customers drug discovery programmes, Ubiquigent and the Drug Discovery Unit (the DDU) of the University of Dundee entered into a collaboration in 2014 to develop and market new ubiquitin system targeted compound libraries.  These libraries are aimed at discovering potent and selective therapeutics across multiple areas including; cancer, cardiovascular and metabolic, neurological and musculoskeletal, and infection and immunity.

The aim of this collaboration is to design, develop and characterise small molecule compound libraries targeting the intracellular proteins of the ubiquitin system. The first of these libraries has been developed and Ubiquigent, as the University’s exclusive commercialisation partner, is now seeking parties interested in accessing this library to support their drug discovery programmes.
