Linking Ubiquitin Research to Drug Discovery

The Human DUB Superfamily

Presented below are a set of phylogenetic trees representing the families of Deconjugating Enzymes (DCEs) constructed from comparing sequence homologies of the de-ubiquitylating catalytic domains of the enzymes. Further enzyme architecture is indicated as predicted from domain (CDD, HHpred, Pfam and SMART) and structure (PDB) databases. This tree and legend are presented with permission of Prof. Michael Clague and Prof. Sylvie Urbé at the Institute of Translational Medicine, and Institute of Integrative Biology, University of Liverpool, United Kingdom.
